The Louis Dreyfus Foundation (LDF) promotes projects in the areas of sustainable agriculture, food security and self-sufficiency. Its goal is to highlight the global issue of food insecurity and the challenge facing humanity to double global food production in a sustainable way. As with many foundations, Louis Dreyfus Foundation decided they required a website to serve as their main communication channel.
What we did
The website we created for LDF was the first for the organisation, so we were starting with a blank screen. We developed a design that complements the Louis Dreyfus brand, but also presents a unique online identify for LDF. The site is built using one of our core content management systems, Concrete5. This makes it easy to maintain and provides flexibility when creating pages with multiple types of content – in particular, the pages that present the projects that LDF are involved in. One of the key journeys into these projects pages is through a global map which has been custom built specifically for the LDF website. It features all the projects in one place while quickly linking to their individual pages. The site is available in three languages – English, French and Portuguese.
What we achieved
The result is a simple and refreshing website that’s simply and easy to use. Project pages are content rich providing video, testimonials and key figures. The site enjoys around 13,000 visits a year from 160 countries.
